Known as the ‘Niagara of Kashmir’, Aharbal on the Veshu (Veshaw) River in Kulgam district drops about 25 m through a narrow granite gorge amid Pir Panjal forests. The site sits at ~2,266 m and serves as a base for treks toward Kausar Nag; recent studies also note nearby fossil sites.
