On a hillock at Paramukku, Feroke, lie laterite remains of a fort attributed to Tipu Sultan, who planned Farookhabad as a Mysorean base after taking Malabar. The protected monument (notified 1991) features a 12‑m‑diameter well and rock‑cut chambers; heritage accounts note coins struck here and Rajiv Gandhi’s 1989 interest that revived research.
