Dubare Elephant Camp, Madikeri - History details

Located on the Cauvery near Kushalnagar, Dubare was once the training center for Mysore Dasara elephants under Wodeyar rule. Today JLR and the Forest Dept run it as an elephant‑interaction and conservation camp. Visitors watch feeding, bathing and ecology sessions. Historically linked to Kuruba mahouts. Best season October–March.
